Video: Possibly the best card trick ever performed in Times Square


Pedestrians in New York's Times Square were treated to an amazing card trick. It was a case of "pick a card, any card" but the results were, well ... quite unusual.
A magician, Dave Cremin, performs an impossible card trick in Times Square, New York, to the amazement of many passersby.
He shows the audience his pack of cards, which he says are quite ordinary, although very special to him.
Then he asks a guy to pick a card, any card, with amazing results.

Durban cops caught with prostitutes in their marked police van


According to a report on Thursday, 2 police constables in Durban, South Africa were arrested after being caught with prostitutes in their police panel van.
According to News24, at around 01:00 on Monday this week, metro officers from the dog unit walked up to the van in the Clairwood suburb of Durban. They saw a man sitting in the front seat, with a woman crouched on the floor.
Apparently the man immediately pulled out a firearm and attempted to drive over the metro police officer before speeding away.

Fake doctor 'diagnosed' cancer & offered women perverted 'cures'


A 77-year-old man was jailed for 8 years yesterday for acting as a doctor, falsely diagnosing cancer and offering perverted cures to women.
The bogus doctor, Reginald Gill, 77, is wheelchair-bound and told his victims he had been an Army doctor but he had no medical qualifications.
He then proceeded to falsely diagnose cancer in his women "patients" and offered perverted "treatments" for the ailment.
He told one patient that she could be cured if a man sucked her breasts for 30 minutes a day.
Further Gill shocked victims by falsely diagnosing cancer using a bizarre electrical probe.... read full article.

Argentinian farmers suing Monsanto for 'poisoning'


Monsanto is once again in the news. This time they and other corporations are being sued for 'knowingly poisoning farmers' in Argentina.
Farmers from Argentina have claimed that agri-giant Monsanto, together with Philip Morris and other U.S. tobacco companies, asked them to use chemicals on their crops. Said chemicals have allegedly caused "devastating birth defects".
The farmers state that the corporations were aware of the implications, but failed to sufficiently warn farmers.
The corporations thus were driven "by a desire for unwarranted economic gain and profit".... read full article.

6.9 quake hits Gulf of California & 7.0 quake hits Mexico City


Following closely on the heels of the 8.6 earthquake off Indonesia, Mexico's Gulf of California has just experienced a 6.9 earthquake.
Digital Journal reported yesterday on the earthquake off the Indonesian coast, followed by a tsunami warning, which was subsequently lifted.
And earlier in the month, there was a report of a 6.3 earthquake striking Mexico.
And now there are reports of a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hitting Mexico's California peninsula.
The epicenter of the tremor was 10.3 kms below the surface, and it occurred 133 kms from the town of Guerrero Negro.
No information is available as yet of the consequences of the earthquake.
On Wednesday, it was also reported that an earthquake had hit Mexico, shaking buildings in the capital, Mexico City. People ran from the buildings and there were no reports of major damage... read full article.
