Mind-controlled drones for the handicapped (video)



Chinese researchers at Zhejiang University have developed a system, called FlyingBuddy2 that allows users to control drones with their thoughts. Sound too much like SciFi? Read on.
The researchers developed the technology to help handicapped people, but it could also have many other applications.

Video: Chinese man builds his own Lamborghini Reventon



Ever dreamed of owning a Lamborghini? This Chinese mechanic not only dreamed about it, he went ahead and built his very own.
A Lamborghini Reventon is a rare car, as there are only 21 in existence.
If you could find one to buy, it would knock you back about $1.5 million.

Thousands protest Chinese patriotism classes in Hong Kong



Tens of thousands of students, teachers and parents were out on the streets in Hong Kong on Sunday, protesting against Chinese patriotism classes.
The public and pro-democracy activists say that these classes will brainwash children into supporting China's Communist Party.

China's Shenzhou-9 capsule returns safely to Earth


After a 13 day mission in space, the crew of the Shenzhou-9 space capsule have now returned home, successfully completing their mission.
The capsule, carrying the crew of China’s Shenzhou-9 spacecraft, has now successfully landed in China’s Inner Mongolia region. The success of this mission brings China a step closer to creating its own manned space station.

China launches 1st manned space flight, with woman astronaut

Three Chinese astronauts, including China's first female astronaut, blasted off in the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft today in the country's first manned space flight.
Launching the first manned space docking mission in China, and including the country's first ever woman astronaut, the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft launched successfully at 10:37 GMT from Jiuquan launch center in north-west Gansu province.

Video: Russia & China unite in 'Naval Cooperation 2012'

Russian-Chinese naval maneuvers are on the go in Qingdao, a port in southern China. 4 Russian warships are docked at a Chinese naval base to cooperate on anti-piracy measures.
Normally the warships are situated in the pirate-infested waters near Somalia, but they are taking a break for joint military drills in the Chinese port.
RT reports that the maneuvers have been dubbed "Naval Cooperation 2012" and began on Sunday this week.
When the Russian convoy traveled from Vladivostok, they were frequently followed by NATO reconnaissance destroyers, submarines and planes. However, both Russia and China were quick to stress that these war games are not being directed against a particular military bloc or country.
