Spoof Video: Curiosity — 'We're NASA and we know it'

NASA's Curiosity rover landed successfully on Mars on August 5. Now a spoof music video about it has been released, giving a musical tribute to NASA and the hardworking scientists and engineers, who "brought a little bit of Earth to Mars."

Video: NASA's Morpheus lander explodes on test flight

NASA says the Project Morpheus lander vehicle has "experienced a hardware component failure", and exploded during a test flight at Kennedy Space Center.

NASA's Project Morpheus lander was undergoing testing at Johnson Space Center in Houston for a year. It arrived at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on July 27 to begin about three months of tests.

First moonwalker Neil Armstrong undergoes heart bypass surgery

Neil Armstrong, who turned 82 on Sunday, has undergone heart surgery to relieve four blocked coronary arteries. He is doing great, according to his wife.

Armstrong lives in the Cincinnati area and has just celebrated his 82nd birthday. 

 He visited the hospital on Monday for a stress test, and then had to go back on Tuesday, when surgeons bypassed the four blockages in his coronary arteries...  read more.

Video: Soyuz TMA-05M spacecraft takes off for ISS

With a truly international team on board, the Soyuz spacecraft has taken off this morning, from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazahkstan.

The Soyuz  TMA-05M spacecraft carrying the next crew for the International Space Station has successfully blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome.

NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, Russian cosmonaut Yury Malenchenko and Japan's Akihito Hoshide will travel for two days before reaching their three colleagues already in place at the International Space Station... read more and watch launch.

NASA's NuSTAR mission lifts off to seek out black holes

NASA has launched an X-ray space telescope to study black holes and other hard-to-see objects in our galaxy in more detail.

The U.S. space agency launched Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) over the central Pacific ocean on Wednesday.
