'Global Noise' takes on the world against austerity (videos)

All over the world people were banging pots and pans and generally making themselves heard on Saturday, in the popular "Global Noise" movement against austerity.

People of the world are sick of governments bailing out the banks, while the people are forced to accept budget cuts, austerity measures, unemployment and hunger.

Julian Assange 'The World Tomorrow' — Ep. 7: Occupy movement

"There's nothing that terrifies the U.S. government more than the threat of democracy breaking out in America." 


Julian Assange interviews representatives from OWS and Occupy London.


Julian Assange and the Occupy movement have much in common. They both criticize governments and are often condemned by the mainstream media.


In the latest episode of Assange's talk show, "The World Tomorrow", they discuss the spread of the Occupy protests in the U.S.A.


Normally Assange's interviews are held in his own home where he is under house-arrest, but this week, due to the size of the crowd, it was held in the old Deutche Bank of London, which is controlled by friends of Occupy.  Read more and view video interview.

Amsterdam, Netherlands: 12m flash mob in Dam Square (video)

Amsterdam did its part in the global 12m movement yesterday by holding a flash mob in Dam Square. Looks like fun was had by all.

The theme of the Flash Mob was to dance the world awake for global change.

In the spirit of peaceful revolution and to the extremely appropriate tune "One Tribe" by the Black Eyed Peas, Occupy Amsterdam danced in the streets.

The organizers stated: "Dance is very natural, people all over the world have always done it. It helps us to feel better, happier, it balances our emotions; it improves the spirit of all. Also it helps us to concentrate on our goal to feel that we are one and we are together!" ... view video.

Málaga, Spain: 12m protest May 12, 2012 (video)

While the subject of the protest was a serious one, members of the 15m movement from Málaga and the surrounding towns protested in true Malagueñan style. They partied.

You've heard the term "the beautiful game"? Well when it comes to 15m protests in Málaga, what you experience is "the beautiful noise". Anyone who didn't realize the purpose for yesterday's manifestation might, understandably, have thought there was a great big party going on.

Worldwide demonstrations and protests see tens of thousands of people out on the streets to mark international Workers' Day.

It is a global event, as people get out in the streets in their thousands protesting against austerity cuts, living costs, government policies and low salaries. On the list too are unemployment and rising consumer prices worldwide.

Google's street view car wifi snooping was not an accident

A government report shows that Google's Street View cars were collecting emails and other data from WiFi users all over the world. Google leaders were informed about this, but the company insists it was 'inadvertent'.

The BBC reports that a recent report filed by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) shows that during 2007-2010, the web giant was collecting emails and other sensitive personal information (including passwords) using its Street View cars and that this was neither a mistake, nor the work of an unauthorized engineer.. read full article.
