Video: Anders Behring Breivik stands on trial in Norway


The video takes us through part of the trial of Anders Behring Breivik on terror and murder charges in the tragic massacre which left 77 dead and 242 injured in Norway last year.
Digital Journal reported on April 10 that a doctor had said that the Norway shooter was competent to stand trial.
Breivik confessed to setting a bomb which killed 8 in downtown Oslo and shooting 69 people at a youth camp outside the Norwegian capital. Breivik stated that the attacks were necessary in what he calls a civil war against Islam.
And now the killer is on trial and as he faces the relatives of those he killed, of whom 75 are seated in the courtroom in front of him, he says that his reactions will be the result of hours of training... read full article and view video.

Monsanto convinces Nepal to accept GMO corn — protesters object


Notorious agricultural giant Monsanto has teamed up with the Nepalese government to force GMO seeds on to the country's farmers. Protests in Kathmandu ensued.
RT has reported that the strain of GMO corn which is being forced on the farmers is banned in several EU countries and will be used in Nepal to substitute imports and "boost the starving nation’s maize production."
With corn being one of Nepal's biggest crops, the country still only produces approximately half of what it needs for the feed industry and have to import around 130,000 tons annually to cover this deficit. Even with the imports, over 40% of the Nepalese population is malnourished.
The United States Agency of International Development (USAID) announced in September last year that it wants to create a partnership between the Nepalese Government and Monsanto in order to boost maize production. This is to "lend the starving country a helping hand".... read full article.

Afghan Taliban bombs diplomats & NATO HQ in revenge against US


In retaliation for recent events, including the Kandahar massacre, burning of the Koran and the U.S. marines urinating on dead bodies, the Taliban launched coordinated attacks.
In one of the most serious Taliban assaults in the last 11 years, attacks were made on NATO headquarters in Kabul and on the diplomatic area, and also targeted adjoining provinces.
The Afghanistan International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has confirmed multiple attacks on 7 locations across Kabul.
In the attacks, the Afghan parliament was hit by rocket fire and residents reported explosions near the building. Attackers attempting to enter the building were driven back by security forces... read full article.

Protest in Málaga against public health cuts — zombie flash mob


With the government pushing yet more austerity measures on the people of Spain, protesters have been out in the streets against the cuts in the social health system.
The Málaga branch of the 15m movement in Spain protested in the streets yesterday, demanding that the social health system should not receive cuts. Protests have also been widespread throughout Spain.
