Fake doctor 'diagnosed' cancer & offered women perverted 'cures'


A 77-year-old man was jailed for 8 years yesterday for acting as a doctor, falsely diagnosing cancer and offering perverted cures to women.
The bogus doctor, Reginald Gill, 77, is wheelchair-bound and told his victims he had been an Army doctor but he had no medical qualifications.
He then proceeded to falsely diagnose cancer in his women "patients" and offered perverted "treatments" for the ailment.
He told one patient that she could be cured if a man sucked her breasts for 30 minutes a day.
Further Gill shocked victims by falsely diagnosing cancer using a bizarre electrical probe.... read full article.

158th Boat Race halted by protester in the Thames


Oxford and Cambridge were going neck and neck until suddenly the Cambridge boat stopped. They had spotted the head of a person swimming in the Thames right near Oxford's oars.
The Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge is one of the most historic events in the UK each year, with Oxford and Cambridge battling it out on the River Thames.
On April 7, 2012, at around 2½ miles into the 4½-mile race course, and seen by thousands of spectators on the banks of the river in southwest London, the race was halted by John Garrett, the race umpire.
As the boats were racing along, with the teams neck and neck at just past the Chiswick Eyot, suddenly the Cambridge boat was halted as they saw the swimmer's head in the water.

UK Home Office web site attacked by Anonymous

With much talk about the extreme surveillance methods being planned in the United Kingdom, Anonymous took its revenge by taking down the Home Office web site.
Anonymous reported via Twitter that it had launched the attack on the web site yesterday due to the "draconian surveillance proposals."
Security agencies in the United Kingdom are pushing for a law to allow the police to monitor telephone calls, text messages and emails of British citizens. They want to further monitor Twitter and Facebook posts, web sites visited and even online chat.

It is estimated that this extreme surveillance would cost more than $3 billion in the first decade alone, and that the British taxpayer would be the one to fork out the price of being spied upon, should the bill be passed into law...  Read full article
