In an interview published on Saturday, the UN's special envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, said in Beirut that international peace efforts have not succeeded. This is partly as a result of divisions between the world powers.
This statement came a day after U.S. Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, said that Russia and China will pay a price for allegedly supporting Assad.
