At least 42 people dead in Morocco bus crash


After a bus fell 150 meters into a ravine in the south of Morocco, at least 42 people have died and another 20 are injured, four of them critically.
The accident is reportedly the worst ever in the country and happened early on Tuesday morning near the town of Zerkten, in Haouz province, Morocco.

Olympics media shuttle bus kills cyclist near stadium


An Olympics shuttle bus has hit and killed a cyclist on Ruckholt Road in East London, approximately 1.5 kms north of the Olympic Stadium.
London's Metropolitan Police have reported that the bus had hit and killed a bicyclist near the Olympic Park in east London. This required authorities to halt bus transportation in and out of the park... read more.

Video: Bulgaria suicide-bomber caught on CCTV at Burgas airport


The suicide bomber who blew up a tourist bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria, has been caught on the CCTV camera in the Burgas airport.
Bulgarian police have released a video taken with CCTV cameras at Burgas airport showing the suicide bomber. They hope that by doing so, more information can be gathered on what happened.

Video: Russian man escapes death at gas station pile-up


It wasn't his time to go, as this man narrowly escapes death during a massive traffic accident involving five vehicles, at a gas station in Orenburg.
In the video, the man barely manages to escape death, and has probably been thanking his lucky stars ever since.

UK police close highway in e-cigarette terror scare on bus


The highway was cordoned off and a bus evacuated as a result of reports of "suspicious activity" due to vapor coming from a passenger's bag.
Seems the U.K. is a little on edge, with the Olympics only a couple of weeks away. Police received a "genuine report" from a person saying that they had seen vapor emanating from the bag of a fellow passenger on the bus, which was traveling from Preston to London and was nearing the M6 toll plaza at Weeford in western England... read more.

Bus rolls off cliff in Taiwan — 15 people injured (video)

A bus carrying tourists from South Korea was visiting Taiwan's Taroko National Park in Hualian county when the accident occurred.
The video, filmed from another vehicle, shows the bus veer off the highway and roll off a cliff in the Taroko National Park in Eastern Taiwan on Wednesday. The bus was apparently crossing the Chinwen Bridge in the park when it overturned at 1:48 p.m.
The tour bus then rolled onto its side, but luckily did not fall down to the river below.

Video: Vietnamese traffic officer goes the extra mile

Now here's something you don't see every day. A Vietnamese traffic cop went for a ride on the windshield wipers of a bus in Hanoi. He hung there for nearly a kilometer, to ensure the driver accepted a ticket.

RT reports that Traffic lieutenant Nguyen Manh Phan had pulled over the bus in Hanoi, and told the driver, Phung Hong Phuong, 37, that he was driving on the wrong side of the road.
VN Express reported that the bus driver didn't want to accept the ticket. He refused to produce his papers to the traffic cop and rushed back to the bus.
