Veteran's rally for Bradley Manning in Oakland, Ca (videos)

A rally and occupation action for accused whistleblower Bradley Manning was held at President Obama's campaign headquarters in Oakland and Portland on August 16. Twelve people were arrested.

A coordinated set of actions by around 100 veterans and supporters of Bradley Manning, the whistleblower who was arrested, imprisoned, facing a court martial and suffering torture for passing on the Collateral Murder video to WikiLeaks.

While the subject of the protest was a serious one, members of the 15m movement from Málaga and the surrounding towns protested in true Malagueñan style. They partied.

You've heard the term "the beautiful game"? Well when it comes to 15m protests in Málaga, what you experience is "the beautiful noise". Anyone who didn't realize the purpose for yesterday's manifestation might, understandably, have thought there was a great big party going on.

Monsanto threatening to sue the state of Vermont on labeling GMOs

Vermont, U.S.A. wants to regulate labeling of foods which contain GMO products, but Monsanto has threatened to sue the entire state if they do so. Includes an informative video on the tactics of Monsanto.

Digital Journal recently reported on the "Label it Yourself" campaign, launched by critics of Monsanto's genetically modified food. The activists say that foods should be labeled to warn buyers of the possible health-damaging qualities of this food.

Now lawmakers in the state of Vermont are planning to regulate food labeling, so that consumers will know which products are made from the genetically modified crops.... read full article.
