John Unger's arthritic dog Schoep undergoing laser treatments



Remember the viral photo of John Unger, floating with his elderly dog Schoep in Lake Superior? Thanks to kind donations, Schoep is now undergoing treatment for his pain. And ladies, John is actively looking for a relationship.
Digital Journal reported on the story of John Unger and his 19-year-old dog Schoep recently. Hannah Stonehouse Hudson, a photographer, captured a beautiful photo of Unger and his dog, having a therapeutic swim in Lake Superior. When the photo was published on Facebook, it immediately went viral.... read more.

Famous Spanish lawyer to represent WikiLeaks and Assange


Well known for issuing an international arrest warrant for a former Chilean dictator in 1998, Baltasar Garzón is now firmly in WikiLeaks' corner.
Garzón met with WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where the whistleblower has been in residence for around a month, awaiting possible political asylum in Ecuador and avoiding extradition to Sweden.

'Beat the Blockade' — WikiLeaks open for donations via France


WikiLeaks is now open for donations, as they have found yet another way around the banking blockade by Visa and Mastercard, through a French non-profit.
On their website is a statement that a blockade by Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Western Union and the Bank of America against donation payments to WikiLeaks, has been in effect now for 592 days.
The blockade was put in place after WikiLeaks published around 250,000 secret State Department cables in December 2010.... read more.

'Beat the Blockade' — WikiLeaks win in Icelandic courts


Icelandic courts have ordered Visa and Mastercard's local partners to accept payments for WikiLeaks donations, or face daily fines.
On the WikiLeaks website, they state that a blockade by Visa and Mastercard against payments to WikiLeaks has been in effect now for 587 days.
Now help is on the way, as the Reykjavík District Court in Iceland has ruled that Visa and Mastercard's local partner in that country, Valitor, has broken the law, by preventing WikiLeaks from receiving donations... read more and watch video.
