If Israel attacks Iran, US bases in Middle East will be targeted
Lebanon's Iranian-backed militant group, Hezbollah, stated on Monday that Iran could hit U.S. bases in the Middle East, should Israel attack its nuclear facilities.
Even if U.S. forces play no role in an attack on Iran, the Hezbollah leader says U.S. bases could be attacked.

Top general comments on possible Israel-on-Iran unilateral strike
Speaking of Israel's threat to attack Iran, General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters on Thursday, “I don't want to be complicit if they [Israel] choose to do it.”
General Dempsey is the highest ranking officer in the U.S. military and is currently in London, U.K, serving as head of the U.S. delegation at the Paralympic Games.

Video: Israel airstrike hits Hamas compounds in Gaza
The Israeli Defense Force has released aerial footage of one of two compounds in the northern Gaza Strip, hit by Israeli warplanes early on Tuesday.
Two compounds run by Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip were struck by Israeli warplanes on Tuesday morning, wounding two Palestinians women in nearby homes with flying debris.
The Israeli Defense Force has issued a statement saying that they had targeted a weapons storage site as well as a manufacturing facility. This strike was apparently in response to earlier rocket fire by Gaza militants towards southern Israel... read more and watch video.
Sesame Street character tells Israelis prepare for war with Iran
A new emergency brochure doing the rounds in Israel instructs residents to prepare for war, should Tel Aviv conduct a military strike on Iran. The face on the document is Moishe Oofnik, Israel's version of Oscar the Grouch.
In Israel's co-production of the well known children's program, Sesame Street, Moishe Oofnik is the resident pessimist in "Rechov Sumsum."

Israeli vets break the silence on abuse of Palestinian children
Breaking the Silence is an organization formed in 2004, made up of Israeli army veterans. On Saturday, they released a report to the international media on the abuse of Palestinian children.
According to the report, "Breaking the Silence is an organization of Israeli veterans who served during the Second Intifada, beginning in 2000."
"The organization aims to make public the everyday life routine as it exists in the Occupied Territories, a reality that remains voiceless in the media, and to serve as an alternative information conduit for the public at large about the goings-on in the State of Israel’s ‘backyard’." ... read more and watch video statements.

Palestinian man tasered repeatedly in front of family (video)
Tel Aviv police were responding to a call about a fight occurring in a Tel Aviv water park. A man criticized the police for their handling of the situation, and got tasered five times.

Thousands of Israelis join anti-government demonstration
Two separate protests were held in Tel Aviv on Saturday. One was an anti-government rally, protesting recent tax hikes and a possible strike against Iran, the other a movement for a universal IDF draft.
One group consisted of Israeli students, social activists and the country's movement for equality in military service laws. One of their unofficial leaders, Stav Shaffir said, “The time has come for an all out war. We must stand up and show that we know how to join hands when necessary… to continue to fight in order to save this place, which we love so much.” ... read more.

New tourism trend: Israeli tourists head for Syria border (video)

Israel to deport Ethiopian and south Sudanese immigrants
Israeli officials have begun arresting what is expected to be tens of thousands of legitimate African refugees, and deporting them to detention camps.
Israel has been a signatory of the 1951 International Refugee Convention since 1954.

Israeli Border Control officer caught on video kicking child
Caught on camera, an Israeli Border Police officer kicks a Palestinian child in the southern West Bank. Police have launched a probe into the incident.
The incident was filmed by a volunteer from B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights organization, on June 29 in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank.

Israeli return strike on Gaza kills 6-year-old boy
Following rocket fire from Gaza that wounded an Israeli man, Israel launched air raids on Gaza on Saturday, killing a 6-year-old boy.
The air raid was launched on Palestinian territory on Saturday, following rocket fire from Gaza which wounded an Israeli man. On Monday, in a skirmish between Israeli forces and three alleged militants, who attacked workers on the border with Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, two militants were killed, while one managed to escape.

Swirling lights missile or UFO over Israel/Lebanon border (video)
Weird spiraling lights were seen over Middle Eastern countries last night. People panicked and called the police, saying they had seen a UFO.
The strange phenomenon was also seen over Armenia, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and other countries in the region.

Egypt cuts natural gas supply to Israel
While insisting the move is not political, Egypt has cut the country's natural gas supply to Israel on Sunday. Egypt cited violations of contractual obligations.
On Sunday, Egypt's Natural Gas Holding Company announced the termination of its contract with Israel. Company head, Mohamed Shoeb has stated that Israel has not paid for its gas in 4 months. Shoeb stated: "This has nothing to do with anything outside of the commercial relations."
Israel purchases 40% of its natural gas supply from Egypt.
