Moscow - In a case of "off road rage" a Russian gynecologist had a nervous breakdown and drove his car into the auto shop, smashing vehicles as he went.
It appears that the doctor was in the throes of a nervous breakdown. He apparently had a 3-hour wait to get his car repaired and this was just the final straw. He then completely lost it and went on a rampage.
RT reports that the 35-year old doctor crashed into the packed storefront of the Pelican auto dealership in Northern Moscow and then used his Suzuki Grand Vitara as a battering ram to smash into the cars on show.
For 3 minutes, the doctor backed out and smashed into the auto shop repeatedly, destroying the vehicles and other fittings in the shop.... read full article and watch video.

Huffington Post has reported that President Barack Obama, in his speech at the 2008 Democratic convention, stated clearly that there would be a big clean up in Washington should he be elected.
Barack Obama said: “You understand that in this election, the greatest risk we can take is to try the same old politics with the same old players and expect a different result.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley calls Obama 'stupid' on Twitter

Washington - A senator from Iowa insulted President Barack Obama on Twitter. David Axelrod took revenge on this with his own responding tweet.
RT reports that the tweet came as a result of Sen. Chuck Grassley's criticism of Obama's stand on the health care law.
Obama, the former Constitutional Law Professor, had stated that he didn't believe that the Supreme Court would take the "unprecedented, extraordinary step" of actually overturning the health care law and Grassley took offence.
The President had recently addressed the health care law debacle, which had made its way to the Supreme Court. Obama himself critiqued "judicial activism" by way of "unelected" judges on the Supreme Court. Many of his conservative opponents were against this, but only Senator Grassley has resorted to actually taking the President up on this.... read full article.

Real Madrid to take the cross from its logo to please Muslims

Real Madrid, the Spanish football giants are making changes to the club's logo in order to strengthen their popularity among Muslim football lovers.
The logo has been their emblem for nearly a century, but now Real Madrid will be removing the small cross from the very top of the crown.
The Marca newspaper in Spain quoted a source in the football club's administration, who said that this move is aimed at “avoiding all forms of misunderstanding and conflict in the regions where the majority of the population is Muslim”.
For those unfamiliar with the soccer world, or football as it is called in Europe, Real Madrid can be placed on a par with other globally recognized professional sports franchises - for instance the New York Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys. Their annual reviews are over $500,000 and the team has an estimated net worth of almost $2 billion.
The change to the logo coincides with the start of construction on a $1 billion sports tourist resort in the UAE by Real Madrid. This will be the world's first theme park located on an artificial island. The park will combine both sports and tourism.... read full article.

Op-Ed: Ruling party PP's version of 'austerity' in Fuengirola, Spain

While Mariano Rajoy, PP leader and current prime minister of Spain imposes harsher and ever more draconian austerity measures on the people of Spain, here in Fuengirola the PP Mayoress spends money like water.
In ever more harsh austerity measures, the Spanish government is reducing pensions, cutting labor benefits, making it easier for employers to fire employees, degrading the social security and health systems.
With 23% of the country out of work, nearly 50% of the youth unable to find jobs and shops and businesses closing down left, right and center, times are becoming increasingly hard for the Spanish people.
The building boom is over and the entire country has become one big unfinished construction site, as the construction industry falters and cannot complete their projects.
And yet, despite all this the mayoress of Fuengirola, Esperanza Oña, who is the local leader of the Partido Popular (PP), insists on spending millions of euros on brand new construction work, fancy signs and signposts in the seaside town.... read full article.
